I’m interested in the relationship between culture, creativity and technology. I've written a bestselling book on the subject: The Pirate’s Dilemma, its spiritual successor - a metaverse project called Broadside, and currently serve as CEO and co-founder of BaseJump, a discovery engine for the next Internet.
Previously I have held executive roles as CMO at Kraken, as Studio Head at a Sony Pictures innovation lab, Chief Content Officer / marketing head at BitTorrent, and as Chief Content Officer at Palm NFT Studio (now Candy). Early in my career I was the founding Editor-in-Chief of RWD magazine.
I am @mattmason on Twitter. You can also find me on LinkedIn. For speaking enquiries please contact Rachel Moran at Oration Speakers. If you need a bio click here. Anything else, please shoot me an email.
